I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Florida. I attended The American University in Washington DC where I completed a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Education and Women’s Studies. I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Maryland at Baltimore.
It has been with gratitude and pleasure that I have made a career from providing psychotherapy and community education for over 15 years. I have worked extensively with persons experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, & relationship issues. I have a special interest in the effect of childhood and family of origin dynamics on well being.
I have lectured at major universities and developed and taught a curriculum for the American University on Violence Against Women. A major focus of my research has been around the connection between assertiveness skills and well being for women and girls. I provide training to groups and businesses in topics ranging from post-partum depression, sexual harassment, parenting, sexual trauma, self defense and assertiveness. I have taught self defense classes for 17 years and have a passion for helping women and girls find their voice.
